The Director should be comfortable in assessing the operating effectiveness of IT general controls over the Bank's various operating environments (e.g., Unix/Linux, Windows, Mainframe, iSeries).Īudit work provides assurance to the Board of Directors and senior management on the quality of internal control systems and reduces the risk of loss and reputational damage to the Company. The Director is also responsible for validating the IT audit universe, risk assessing each auditable entity to determine their frequency of coverage, identifying emerging technology/tools and possess a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment where we operate. The Director will manage a team of auditors and guide their career progression, training and development while promoting a collaborative positive work environment. Audit reports must provide clear, concise, and value-added commentary on issues to reduce the technology risk to the Bank and assist management in fulfilling their strategic objectives. The Director is responsible for reviewing and approving the scope of each audit, including the planning and timing of the audit, its execution quality and audit reports. Conducts audit engagements to critically assess the Bank's internal control processes within the technology infrastructure, network, computer operations, and IT development activities.
